Sarah Legault
Sarah Legault (London, ON) is a Juno Award winning music video director, stop-motion filmmaker, animator, writer, character and set designer, builder, illustrator, stop-motion practical lighting and motion control technician. Her first stop-motion animation Dear Love earned the Best Animated Short Film award at the 2014 Toronto Independent Film Festival. Since then; Sarah has teamed up with Canadian electro-goth band Johnny Hollow to direct and animate their stop-motion music video Firefly (2016), co-directed and animated Canadian punk-rock band Billy Talent - Ghost Ship of Cannibal Rats (2017), directed and animated iskwē - Little Star (2019) which premiered on Billboard.com and gained attention by CBC Music, NOW Magazine, earned her the 2020 Juno Award for Music Video of the Year, and became a recipient of the Stingray Music: Rising Stars prize. Since 2020, Sarah has contributed her skills to feature length and short film productions, television series (Ultra City Smiths), commercials and continued to direct and animate music videos. Some clients that she has worked for include Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, AMC, Elephant Pictures, Stop Motion Deptartment, Ley Line Entertainment, glassEyeballs, Taqqut Productions, Air Canada, Warner Music, Cordova Bay Records, Kevin Hearn and Rheostatics.
